Retired 34-61, a 1990 Ford 4x4 Type 1 Ambulance has found a new home at the Swan Lake Fire Department in Sullivan County NY. The truck was purchased by our Company in 1999 and was repainted and converted into a Light Rescue by Company members.
Tonight firefighters added more equipment on the fleet. 34-51 had its aging supply line replaced. 700 feet of new 3 inch supply line was placed on 34-51. A total of 1000 feet of 3 inch was purchased. The rest of the new 3 inch will be placed on the hose rack as spare hose.
34-1 and 34-11 attended the WetDown in Otisville for Tower 140. The "Old Dog" looked really good sitting out front today and the members should be proud of all their hard work getting T-140 in service.
With the help of State Senator Bonacic, Westbrookville Firefighters placed 2000 feet of new hose in service tonight. Senator Bonacic secured a NYS Community Project Grant for our Company that was used to purchase 2000' of 4" Large Diameter Hose.

On June 10th Station 34 was dispatched for an EMS assist. The crew from 34-51 arrived and found the patient in Cardiac Arrest and called for back up from the Station. A crew from 34-11 also responded to assist.

As a busy April ended, Station 34 started May with 2 calls. The day began with an EMS assist call. Later in the afternoon the Volunteers were out for a O&R electric pole and tree fire. 34-2 had command of both incidents and Otisville responded AMA for the second call.
Over the last week many firefighters in the Region have been busy with brush and wildland fires. No rain, low humidity, warm weather and steady winds have fueled many fires in the area and have kept Station 34 busy over the last week.
On February 29th we launched our new Website. We hope this will help our community understand what we can do for them and what it takes to be a Volunteer Firefighter. We are hoping this will also work as a recruitment tool for our Company.
