The annual Sullivan County Firemen's Parade took place Saturday, Sept 17th 2011 at the Frog's Pad in Rock Hill. Westbrookville Engine 34-11 took home a trophy for "Second Best Appearing Apparatus, 10 years and under".
On Sept 10th Station 34 as well as several other fire departments from Sullivan County departed for a statewide mutual aid request in Broome County. Homes and business were ruined and destroyed due to flooding conditions from Hurricaine Irene.
Hurricane Irene is expected to hit the region late Saturday and Sunday. Please prepare yourself for flooding and power outages. Make sure you have gas for your generators and batteries for your flashlights and radios.

Kris Bloom successfully finished his basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia and returned home June 24th. His next assignment is in Fort Hood, Texas in the 3rd armored calvary regimen. We wish him and all our troops well and to stay safe.
