Early Morning Furnace Malfunction

At 04:56hrs Station 34 was dispatched to a possible structure fire. Car 1 signed on and 911 updated the incident to a possible furnace malfunction. 34-1, 34-2 and 34-11 arrived on scene to find nothing showing. The homeowner states she was having a problem with her furnace and shut off the emergency switch. The crew from 34-11 found a light smoke condition in the garage and basement. The crew found high CO readings in the basement and lower readings on the 1st floor. The structure was ventilated and the readings quickly dropped to zero. The homeowner contacted her service company and all Station 34 units returned to service.

34-1, 34-2, 34-3, 34-11 and 34-31 responded.

At 07:48hrs Station 34 was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 209 and County Route 163. 34-1, 34-2 and 34-11 found a bicyclist down upon arrival with minor injuries. The crew from 34-11 began treating the patient before EMS arrival and set up traffic control.

At 22:03hrs Station 34 was dispatched for the Tanker to respond to a working fire in the Huguenot Fire District. 34-31 responded and went into the Tanker rotation. After several hours operating at the fire, the Tanker was released by Huguenot Command.34-1, 34-2, 34-3 and 34-31 responded.

At 07:34hrs Station 34 was dispatched for the Engine to stand by at Wurtsboro's Station while they operated at a working structure fire. While the Engine and crew was on stand by, Otisville was placed on AMA for all calls in the district.34-3, 34-11 and 34-62 responded.
At 16:41hrs Station 34 was dispatched Mutual Aid to the Cuddebackville Fire District for our Brush equipment to assist them at a brush fire off Rt.211 near their Station. Upon arrival 34-51 was used to fill their Brush Truck working a vegetation fire.

At 00:43hrs Station 34 was dispatched for the Tanker and manpower to a structure fire in the Forestburgh Fire District. 34-31 responded and 34-61 responded with a interior crew. 34-31 arrived and was put into staging as Tankers had to back down a long unimproved road one at a time to the scene.

At 04:15hrs Station 34 was dispatched for the Tanker to a rekindle on Route 209 in Cuddebackville. Upon arrival at the scene, Command (Huguenot Car 1), asked for the Engine and all available manpower to the scene for a working fire.

At 21:24hrs Station 34 was dispatched for the Tanker to the scene of a structure fire on Route 209 in Cuddebackville. Upon arrival on scene and checking with Cuddebackville Command for orders (Huguenot Car 1) asked if Station 34 could send the Engine to set up a fill site on Port Orange Road.

At 20:07hrs Station 34 was dispatched to a car fire on Pine Kill Road near the Intersection of Upper Pine Kill. Car 3 found a pick-up truck fully involved with the driver out of the vehicle. 34-11 arrived on scene and the crew put one CAFS line in operation and quickly knocked the fire down.
