At 19:31hrs Station 34 was dispatched to an MVA on Route 209 and Rustic Hills Road. Initial reports from control came in as a possible pin. 34-6 and 34-7 arrived on scene first and confirmed entrapment. LifeNet 75 was on standby per county protocal and EMS units were enroute. 34-11 arrived on scene and the crew went to work cutting the one patient out of the vehicle. Middletown Car 3 was on scene and assisted with the extrication. The crew quickly controlled the hazards, set up lighting. The crew removed both doors, roof and moved part of the dash to give EMS enough room to remove the patient. EMS had requested a launch on the Helicopter and Otisville was sent to Station 34 to set up the LZ. Mamakating and Mobile Medic transported the patient to the LZ for transport to the area Trauma Center. All cuts were made and the patient removed in less then 20 minutes.
34-3, 34-11, Middletown Car 3, Sullivan County BC-5, Otisville Car 1 and Engine 142 responded. All Station 34 units were back in service at 21:05hrs.
