Engine and Tanker To Wurtsboro Working Fire

At 23:12hrs Station 34 was dispatched for the Engine with manpower and the Tanker mutual aid to Wurtsboro for a working structure fire. 34-11 arrived and the crew was directed to stage at the front of the structure for the next crew in.34-11 was positioned in front of the structure to provide lighting. 34-31 arrived on scene and was staged by 39-31 and the crew from 34-31 assisted 34-11. Crews went to the second floor and finished opening up. Crews were then sent to the third floor to open up and vent the top floor. Upon getting up to the 3rd floor, crews found heavy smoke and heat. The two rooms on the third floor were searched, windows opened up and walls and ceilings were opened to check for extension.

Otisville was placed on standby in their quarters.

34-1, 34-2, 34-3, 34-11 and 34-31 responded. All units were back in service at 01:36hrs.

At 09:01hrs Station 34 was dispatched for the Engine and manpower to stand by at Wurtsboro's station while they operated at a working fire in Rock Hill. Due to reduced daytime manpower, 34-2 offered the Tanker and small crew to go to the assignment.

At 20:08hrs Station 34 was dispatched for an MVA in the area of 1707 Route 209. 34-11 arrived on scene to find one car into a utility pole near the intersection of Route 209 and County Route 61. The crew set up traffic control and and controlled all hazards.

At 00:45hrs Station 34 was dispatched for the Tanker to a working house fire in Wurtsboro. 34-31 arrived on scene and quickly dumped its first load of water in a portable tank and then got into the tanker shuttle.

At 18:20hrs Station 34 was dispatched for the Tanker to stand by at the Huguenot Fire Station while they operated at a working structure fire on Route 209. The Tanker was on stand by with an Engine from Montague, NJ.

At 23:23hrs Station 34 was dispatched to close Route 209 South at County Route 163 while Cuddebackville was working a motor vehicle accident on Route 209 South. Shortly after the initial alarm, 53 Control resounded the alarm for an Engine and manpower to the scene.

At 22:57hrs Station 34 was dispatched for a chimney fire on Brook Trail. 34-6 was on scene shortly after the alarm and updated responding units that there was a smoke condition on the second floor due to extension.

At 13:52hrs Station 34 was dispatched to an AFA on Thomas Road. Otisville was dispatched on weekday AMA but was held in their quarters by 34-3. 34-6 arrived on scene to find nothing showing and the alarm had been set off by cooking.

At 11:15hrs Station 34 was dispatched to Oak Circle in the Cuddebackville Fire Dist for a reported working structure fire. The request was for an Engine and manpower. 34-11 and 34-2 were on scene along with Huguenot Car 3 to find smoke in the structure due to a malfunctioning wood stove.

At 19:31hrs Station 34 was dispatched to an MVA on Route 209 and Rustic Hills Road. Initial reports from control came in as a possible pin. 34-6 and 34-7 arrived on scene first and confirmed entrapment.

At 11:41hrs Station 34 was dispatched to a hit and run motorcycle accident near 1759 Route 209. Life Net 75 was put on standby due to County protocol. First arriving units found the incident at the intersection of Route 209 and Sullivan County Route 163E.

At 21:21hrs Station 34 was dispatched to a vehicle fire at Pete's Auto on Route 209. 34-11 arrived and found a working truck fire under power lines. Crews quickly put one CAFS line into operation and knocked the fire down within minutes of arrival.

At 20:33hrs, Station 34 was dispatched to assemble for a search. A family of 6 were lost somewhere in the NYS Park area along the Neversink River know as the "Gorge". Cell phone calls to the 911 center put the family in thousands of acres of backcountry .

At 2031 Station 34 responded to an activated Carbon Monoxide Detector activation on the Pine Kill Road. All units were back in service at 2123.
